should the owner or renters pay the yearly rubbish bill?

Hello,
Who normally pays the yearly rubbish bill when long-term renting. If it is the renters, should the yearly bill be divided by 12 and then paid monthly or should they pay the full amount when the bill comes in? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I suppose it could depend on an individual contract but normally and in a situation where it is not mentioned in the contract, the owners are liable for all local taxes and community charges.

the rubbish bill is new as of this year, so it has been an issue with many people. depends on the contract signed..it will mention if any new taxes should arise..

I live in the Girona/catalonia area and yes if you are renting YOU are to be paying the rubbish tax. This is normal if you are long term renting. Other taxes are the hoem owner tax but of course that is not up to you

Ditto Pepsi/others who have a fixed monthly rent which includes all local taxes, rubbish, community charge etc.
Only 'extras' to rent is phone, water, elec.
Malaga.
