Hi.  I applied for Spanish citizenship through my grandmother but I still have a few more months to wait until I can obtain citizenship.  Ive been living in Spain for the past 8 months & only on a tourist visa.  I have a flight back to the US in two weeks & I’m not sure if I’d be considered illegal & will have problems or if I’ll be ok because I put my papers in to become a citizen.

Anybody know?

what is your current citizenship?
if you are not an eu citizen, you may not be allowed back for overstaying.
documents valid for entry if you are not an eu citizen are the passport and visa.
applications for citizenships are not travel documents.
