Hi Expat,

A good friend of mine has been leaving in spain for three years now. she came to the country because her fiance’s lawyer told him that when she comes he would make sure she gets a resident permit. But all that was a lie he used to rip them off.

Now she has been here for three years and even had a baby with her fiance two years ago(the baby has a card now). The fiance has a resident card too and they plan to get married, but she is really worried about her residency. They are from west africa and do not know the next step to take.

She said she would have gone back home to start the processes there but she knows a lot of people that have done that and are still awaiting a good response for over four years and are seperated from their families.

What do you advice? Is there any way I can help them out?
