Hello everybody!
I am happy to find this forum! 😊
I am 31, male, currently living in Canada, with a dual citizenship - Canadian and EU, 3 years ESL teaching experience and from March this year a PhD in history. 😊 I plan to go to Granada in September to take a TEFL course with TEFLSpain. Hopefully, it is a good legit course, because I already paid it. I am studying Spanish very actively as well.
I hope to find a teaching job in a language school after the TEFL course and later on to start building up a group of private students as well.
I will be very grateful if you can answer some of my questions:
Is it possible to find a teaching job in Granada or anywhere else in Andalucia right now?
Is it true that September-October is the best season to look for teaching positions?
Does it take a lot of time to get a NIE numer and to arrange all other registration formalities with the Spanish authorities?
What pay rates can I expect?
How is the English teaching market in Granada/Andalucia and do you think that I have a good chance to get a job?
Thank you so much for your responses!
