I found this site very useful, but I would like to have your opinions and advices about few things that I am worried about.

I live with my family in non EU country, and during December we will move in Madrid since my husband got job in Madrid for maybe 3 or 4 years. We have two kids( five and 8 months baby).

1. Since my husbund work will be located in Salamanca district, we will try to rent an apartment there, I heard it is a great district for living but expensive. What do you think two bedroom furnished apartment would cost?

2. Next thing I am worried about is an insurance since we will have to pay private insurance for kids. Which insurance we should choose,what is your recommend, how much that cost,and if we have private insurance can we use public hospitals and doctors. What is the procedure?

3. At first, till we learn Spanish in a good manner ( I speak very poor now) we will have to go to the English speaking pediatrician, do you know any close to Salamanca?

4. School issue, international or public, My daughter starts with school in September next year, as I understood international schools costs about 700 EUR per month, and I think we can not afford that price. Do you now some good schools that are not so expensive? My husbands friends child was attending some Spanish public school very close to their job in Salamanca district and was very satisfied, there were a lot of foreigner children . Since my daughter doesn’t speek English I think it would be same, go to school in Spanish or English, she needs to learn new language. What do you think?

Those would be biggest issues that I am worried about, any advice would be helpful.
