Hi there, my Husband is due to start a job just outside of Malaga in the Parque Technologie de Andalucia in 6 weeks time and we are currently looking at where would be suitable for us to move to within a 20 miles radius, so this isnt quite into Marbella on one side and just past Benejarafe on other side as well as Inland as long as the road system is fast enough for him to get to work, i.e. no small, windy roads!
We have been to spain 6 times but stayed outside this area in Estepona, Nerja and Benahavis and we are looking for places to live that are similar to Nerja and Benahavis.
We don’t want anywhere that has been ruined by British tourism, i.e. Torremolinos, somewhere that has shops, decent restaurants and bars and has a nice atmosphere, i.e. not too quiet but not a party town.
We are in our 30’s, no kids, yet, and we want to be able to walk into a town so a Urbanisacion with no facilities in the middle of nowhere is not what we are looking for.
We are happy to live either by the coast or inland as long as inland is easy to get to (we have experienced some onf those scary roads!). We would be looking at renting a small villa or townhouse as we have had anough of apartment living in the UK and would be looking at spending up to 800 euros per month.
I have made a huge list of all the towns and villages in the area so now I just need some advice as to where NOT to live and where I should look into so that I can start marking places on or off my list so any help would be greatly appreciated!
