I need some advice please. This is really an awful situation and i cant really believe it myself, everything is a bit of a blurr and i would really appreciate some good advice.
My partner is spanish and we have a 2 year old son. He was a builder and has just found work after a long spell of unemployment. He hasnt been coping very well and this w/e things got very out of hand and i had to call the police. I hate this as i know he is suffering but i really had no choice. I dont think i can go back to him after what has happened and the courts have been really unhelpful. I have had to agree to give him access to our son (although i believe and the courts agreed he presents a danger to me and himself at the moment) I obviously wanted to give him access but after i could be sure he has recieved help and not in his present state. He has been ordered to pay me 150 month, and now i cant work (as i worked evenings and he looked after our son) and have no way of paying the mortgage or anything else. I have also been told that if i go back to england (i could do with some help from my family) I will be comitting an offence. I have no family here and feel so alone.
I need to know if there is any kind of payment for single parents, and if anyone knows why i cant go home or when i might be allowed to , does this mean i cant go home ever? (my son was born here)
thanks
