my understanding is that you have to claim the prize in the country you bought the ticket - but dont quote me on that.
For more info, goto euromillions.co.uk and check the results of a lotter ticket - a warning appears saying “you are outside the uk, and so euromillions dont have to pay…” or something like that.
Yes I think you can buy a ticket over the counter but as previous poster said if you win you have to claim in the country where you bought your ticket (as in fact there are some differences between the games)
One thing you cannot do is play online when you are in another country.
I suppose I was questioning how you go about collecting winnings and if you’re not a resident could you do the lottery in that country. As Euromillions is played in many countries I was just confirming that I could collect my winnings when I won the big one.
I have won three times, small prizes unfortunately. I still wouldn’t know how to collect a large amount!
