Representatives from the British Consulate in Tenerife will be in San Miguel de Abona on 11 October to attend ?xodos, a series of exhibitions, performances and workshops to celebrate the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures.

Our representatives will be on hand to provide information for British residents and answer their questions.

The local town hall is offering activities throughout October to promote cultural diversity. With a foreign resident population of nearly 45%, the town hall hopes to strengthen intercultural diversity by offering a taste of national customs such as traditional dance from Sierra Leone and cuisine from Bolivia.

As well as launching the ?xodos programme, on Monday 11th October the town hall will be opening their Public Square and Civic Centre in Llano del Camello.

Representatives from the British Consulate in Tenerife will be available at their stand on Monday 11th October from 5pm in the Civic Centre to answer questions and offer information about their services and their experience in the local area. Did you know that as well as visiting prisoners and hospital in-patients, the consulate team can also issue emergency travel documents and certain marriage documents? Have a chat with the team to find out how else they may be able to help you.

Whether you have a question for the Consulate, or you simply want to find out more about your multinational neighbours, there?ll be something for you in the ?xodos programme.
