There are already mumblings from certain quarters in Ireland that it might be better to reinstate the Punt.

Do forum members think Spain would be better off with the Peseta?
I know Spain gets a lot of funding capital from the EU but do you think having their own currency and a better exchange rate for tourists et al would more than offset this?

Just interested in your thoughts on this.
