Hi Maria, Not 100% sure how you will do this whilst not ‘in situ’ so to speak (but there should be a way? Even if you have to hire an anuthroized person to do it for you?).

I needed my Social Security medical records at one point. I just went to the information desk/reception where my doctor was, filled in a form (in triplicate with the usual photocopies of ID etc!), the request was processed. I went back 4 weeks later and there it was.  However, it was only a brief overview of the dates and an outline of what I had been seen/treated for. It did not include the Drs notes etc. (Although I am sure if I had pursued the matter, possibly they have a fee system? then you could get a print out of those too).

If you are having problems even if you provide photocopies of all docs, inc SS card (or at least the no), and you have given a letter of authorization (actually, I remember there was possibly a box on the form for this, where your nominated person, with your permission, just gave copies of their ID too), send anyone you possibly have here for an app with the ‘Trabajadora Social’.  (Social worker). Each helath centre has one.  They are friendly, helpful and will do what they can.

I think it is a matter of just navigating the system (one more time!)

Hope your birth goes OK.
