Thought i`d say hello!!

Our journey is just beginning, we are hoping to move to spain in the next 18-24 months so after trawling the internet, this looks the best source of advice and information ever.

Research will begin with legal issues i think, currently looking at spanish classes and work opportunities.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Russ

Hi Russ, and welcome.

What areas of Spain are you interested in?

I don’t know if you are still interested but ...

have just got back from 4 day trip to Tarragona - Reus area and allthough the cities are pretty the area is heavily industrialised with a GENORMOUS gas refinery near by, dirty ... not the sort of place I thought of finding ..... surely cancelled it form my list.

As you may see alot on the forums, possibly the best advice you will get is to travel and stay in the areas as much as possible beforehand.

This way you will experience first hand if the area your looking at is best for you.

On a number of forums I see countless people blow the trumpet for their own area, but everyone is individual and what suits one person may not be right for another. I love the area where I live, and am always happy to sing its praises, but it might not suit everyone.

This forum certainly is an excellent source of information, with the guides that have been posted, along with a good spread of people posting throughout Spain itself.

Good luck with your research. If you have specific questions about anything or anywhere, you’ve certainly come to the right place.

UNfortunatly not as we flew into Girona (loved it) and so didnt get the chance to travel below our area (kids nagging!)

Will remember this next summer when I will visit for 2 weeks more south towards Valencia.

Thanks for the little secret.
