Has anyone heard of these 'dying' towns in Spain that they are trying to re-populate? From what I have heard, they are allowing people to move to Spain in the hopes that the towns will grow again. I am looking for information about these towns and areas, I would love to hear from someone who has done this, or knows of someone who has been through this as well. Thanks!!

You are right - I read an article (problem is a the moment cant remember where!) about a town in a very remote (and cold!) area of Spain who had tried to attract South Americans (as they speak Spanish) but in fact had ended up with East Europeans who were working hard and integrating and the local mayor was happy! I will get back to you with more when I recall more info.

Julia says it was around TERUEL - Castellon. Good luck.

Thanks so much. Although I would really rather not a COLD climate, there are a few things that we know we will have to change in order to be in Spain. I'm looking forward to more information when you remember. Thank you again. Tamara
