Hi there,
I think I need a good lawyer, does anyone know one in the Guadalajara area?
I bought this house in June 2010, the person I bought it from works for Iberdrola, he thinks that I owe him extra money for the home, although I paid the selling price, well - 1 month after purchase, I get a bill from Iberdrola for 1780?.
They cut my electricity on 16th November and now I get a letter from their debt collectors demanding payment or legal action will be taken against me.
I have been to the local consumer office, they pass me to the regional consumer office, they pass me to the association of consumers etc. basically everyone is scared of Iberdrola. I had my meter removed and tested by the Ministry of Industry, the meter was good. I went to 3 consumer offices but they did not file anything but just told me to try elsewhere.
My meter box outside was vandalised so there is open access.
Being an engineer myself, i think that this Iberdrola employee put a leakage or load tester on my line, on the metered side and left it there for a few hours, that would make the meter go crazy, the result being 12780 kWh for the bill - impossible.
I would just like to connect with others who have had similar experiences and seek advice on what to do next.
The police did say that I can file a case against this person however it could be dangerous to accuse someone without evidence. All I have is means and motive pointing to this guy. All other bills since this bill in the summer have been paid and the consumption is normal , 500-800kWh per month.
Thanks
Tom
