Hi. My name is Gill. I am a qualified Social Worker who is currently practising in Scotland. I am moving to Spain this spring and was hoping for some assistance as my search for employment to date has been unsuccessful. Unfortunately I am unable to visit Spain in person at present, therefore I have had to rely on the phone and internet to try to search for possible opportunities. I have 20 months experience in my current post (child protection), however I have also worked as a support assistant (mental health), personal carer and volunteer counsellor. I am in the process of trying to learn Spanish, however realistically I think it will be some time until I am able to read and write reports etc outwith English. I understand that unemployment in Spain is high, however I am willing to turn my hand to any kind of work so long as it involves working with people. My partner is a plumber. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
