WRITING FOR STAGE AND SCREEN
A brand new course which over 4 days will give you the tools you need to produce a script to a professional standard. Elements of the course will include characterization, plotting, dialogue and stage & set directions and script presentation.
The course will be run by stage and screen writer, Phillip Meeks whose television credits include Emmerdale, Heartbeat, Doctors and a new drama series currently optioned by ABC Australia. On stage his one man play Twinkle Little Star was nominated for a Stage Award at the Edinburgh Fringe and is currently in pre production at the Cheltenham Everyman. His play I Met A Man Who Wasn?t There goes on a national tour this summer. He has recently been commissioned by York Theatre Royal for a new play to be staged this summer.
The course will be held in the Manilva on the following dates: 7th-10th April 2011 and May 19th-22nd.
