The other day the okupas (like koopa troopas only not - they’re anarchists who squat in old buildings) of my neighbourhood found out that they were getting kicked out by the Mossos d’Esquadra (the local strong arm of the government and police “force of occupation”). Instead of barricading themselves into their squat house with barriers/furniture and what have you, they decided to cause some serious chaos.

First they knocked the power out of over 1500 buildings in the area, then hauled their collection of traffic barricades and fences into the main traffic arteries’ crossings of the barrio. Next they knocked over all the garbage and recycle bins and, with their personal collection of tires (which they must have been saving for this purpose as none of them own a car), lit massive choking blazes in the streets. It took the police and fire department 45 minutes to arrive on the scene.
