Hi,

If I want to find a small Pork Tenderloin joint for roasting/pot roasting what should I look for or ask the butcher for please?

Is it something like de lomo de cerdo?

thanks for any help or advice…

(I have Very Basic Spanish only!)

A tenderloin is a solomillo. A lomo is like rump, which can be roasted for roast pork or can be broiled more like ham. Then there are ROSTIs which is like roast pork held together in a roll by string, these are usually available pre-packed in supermarkets, but I’ve asked a butcher to prepare me one a few christmases back - I’m not sure which cuts he used to prepare it though.

So… is that Solomillo de Cerdo or Rosti de Cerdo I would ask the butcher then?

thanks for your help
