Hi everyone, I’m planning on moving to Madrid in January and have been looking at apartments located in Centro Madrid on segundamano.es. It looks like the average rent for a one bedroom apartment is about 350-450 a month for rent.

I have a question though, how much will utilities and internet run me approximately per month? I’d just like to have an idea of some kind of average price range.

I’ll sum up for you hereunder the average for utilities and internet in Madrid:
- for a bedroom within a shared flat: 50-70 euros a month
- for a studio you rent out alone: 100-120 euros a month

One comment: the price ranger you mentionned, 350-450 euros a month, is for a good bedroom within a shared flat in the center.
For a 1 bedroom studio you would pay at least 700, and not in the city center.

I recommend you have a look at idealista.com and fotocasa for flats.
